When I take on an assignment, I consider it a business-to-business
relationship. I am gratified when my work contributes to your success.
That is my aim—to help other businesses succeed and to develop
relationships where people feel they can rely on me to be a solid,
dependable source of quality commercial photography.

I prefer to shoot in high-resolution digital rather than large-, medium-,
or small-format film. Color-balance and perspective are handled once the
raw image files are back in the studio. With the digital experience I’ve acquired
over the last few years, I strongly believe that digital has many advantages
over film, not the least of which is affordability to clients.

SCHEDULING
Usually two weeks notice is adequate to schedule a shoot. If you have an
emergency, it’s worth giving me a call with less notice, especially if the shoot
is to be a half-day or less.

PRICING
Call for a day rate. I also have half-day rates and hourly rates for certain
circumstance. I charge a basic digital capture fee for each job.

If you will be sharing use of the images with another individual or business,
pricing should be negotiated with me ahead of time, with the understanding
that pricing is based on individual use. (In other words, sharing photography
is not like sharing a cab.)

CONVEYANCE OF IMAGES
I deliver images on a CD or DVD in full resolution. If you are unfamiliar with
manipulating digital images, I can offer help or recommend software.

PRINTING CAPABILITIES
I have archival printing capabilities up to 40 x 60. In addition, lamination and
mounting services are available.

COMMUNICATION AND CLIENT INVOLVEMENT
When you need photography, you have an idea of what that need is.
It is helpful to me if you communicate that need to me in as much detail as
possible prior to the shoot.

Early on in our relationship, it is helpful to have you or your marketing
representative at the shoot to have dialog and interactive cooperation about
the project as it unfolds. This helps me to get the best possible results for you.
It keeps us on the same page. As our relationship develops and I get to know
your needs, style, and preferences, it is usually not as necessary for you to
be present at the shoot (though you are always welcome).

MODEL RELEASES
Model releases are necessary when photography is being done for commercial
purposes and people in the images are identifiable. Some places, such as an
individual’s private home, can also require releases. You can download a
standard model release form here.
